Our Houston massage school staff strives to relate to each student as an individual and to provide each student with the information and skills needed to be a competent and successful massage therapist. The staff consists of the best instructors in Houston with many years of outstanding teaching experience. Our Director of Education is Patricia Griffin Kanter-Kennedy, who trained and taught at one of the former top Houston massage schools, The Winters' School, Inc., as well as other Houston area schools.

Jose E. Carrillo, BS, LMT, MTI
Jose is the founder and Director of the Houston School of Massage. He is both a registered massage instructor and therapist. Jose has had a private massage practice, has worked at several major Houston spas, served as an international spa consultant, and has been an instructor and administrator. Jose is also a co-creator of the HSM basic massage Spanish program. Jose believes learning should be fun, so he loves to add his light-hearted humor to all aspects of our school.

Griffin Kanter-Kennedy, MLS, BS,LMT, MTI, NCBTMB
Griffin has become an outstanding and recognized instructor in the city of Houston. After surviving 13 years in the corporate world, she then turned her world around to do what she loves. She has been a registered massage therapist in Texas, as well as Nationally Certified, since 1994. She is the creator of many of our excellent continuing education classes as well as our Director of Education. Her life skills include being a massage therapist for humans and animals, a massage therapy instructor, and a Reiki Master..

Stan McDonald, BS, LMT
Stan is a graduate of California Polytechnic University in Pomona, California with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. In addition to Swedish Massage, Stan is trained in Corporate Chair Massage, Sports Massage, and Polarity Therapy. Stan has taught marketing, public relations and time management classes in the corporate environment. Stan enjoys spending time assisting several non-profit organizations in the city of Houston.
